Affiliate disclosure.

Plain version: we may earn a commission if you apply for a card through a link on this site and are approved. That money does not buy a higher rank.

What we get paid for

Some apply buttons on Vacation Math may be affiliate links (CardRatings, Bankrate, or a similar network). If you click one, apply, and get approved, we may earn a commission. Those links are labeled Affiliate and use rel="sponsored".

Until those partnerships are live, apply buttons go to the issuer’s official page and are tagged as such. We do not invent tracking IDs.

What we do not get paid for

Rankings and “best fit” badges are scored from the spend, perks, and fee answers you give us, plus conservative point values. We do not get paid to place a card higher. Commission is not an input to the sort.

Offers change. Confirm on the issuer page.

Welcome bonuses, annual fees, and credits move. Chase 5/24 typically declines new cards if you have opened 5 or more in 24 months. American Express generally limits welcome bonuses to once per card, lifetime. Capital One has a 48-month family rule on some products. Read the current terms before you apply.
